A little bit about me
Hi, I’m Becca
I’m a health copywriter, journalist and self-professed content geek.
My training
As a Biochemistry graduate with a diploma in journalism I have the creative flair combined with the analytical mindset needed to create great content. I’m always thinking of new content ideas and I love carrying out in-depth research to ensure the copy I write is accurate.
My experience
After training as a journalist, I worked for local newspapers and freelanced for the BBC’s science magazine Focus. I then worked as a communications officer for the charity The Association for Science Education.
Ten years ago I moved into the world of content marketing, first as a health writer for Boots, then as a copywriter at an award-winning marketing agency.
I now work as a freelancer taking on health writing in a range of forms from content marketing to journalism.
Campaigning
I love using my skills for the greater good, so in my spare time I advocate for those with food allergies. I’ve achieved coverage at a local and national level for an issue I care deeply about.
Beyond Work
When I’m not working, you’re likely to find me spending time with my daughter, cooking, reading, walking, running or enjoying the outdoors in my hometown of Cardiff.
